Yogurt Brownies

Ingredients :



All purpose flour - 2 1/2 cups


Baking powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon


Butter - 3/4 cup


Sugar - 1 1/2 cups


Yogurt (fresh) - 1 1/4 cups 


Cocoa powder - 3/4 cup


Milk - 1/2 cup


Mixed fruit Jam - 3 tablespoon


Walnuts - 4 tablespoon (Chopped)


Vanilla essence - 1 teaspoon


For the Topping :


Walnuts (Chopped ) - few


Dark chocolate -  50 grams


Method :


Sieve the flour, cocoa and the baking powder. Add walnuts to the flour. Beat sugar and butter till fluffy. Now add the curd, vanilla essence and jam and mix well.Lastly, add the flour and enough milk to get a soft batter.Transfer the mixture into a greased square baking tin. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees C for 35 to 40 minutes or until done. Let it sit in the oven for 2 minutes. Cut them into 1 1/2" pieces. Let them cool down. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or by double boiler method. Pour it on the brownies and sprinkle walnuts over them. Serve them as it is or with ice cream.
