Ingredients :
Milk -1 litre
Turmeric - one inch piece (see below)
Sugar - 250 grams
Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Mixed nuts - 2 tablespoon
Strawberry - for garnish
Method :
Boil milk in a large vessel. Add sugar and grate the turmeric and continue till the milk is reduced to almost half and the milk thickens. The turmeric gives such a lovely colour to the kulfi that there is no need to add any artificial colour or even saffron. Now add the mixed nuts and the cardamom powder and stir. Switch off the gas and let it cool down for sometime. Pour the mixture into the moulds and place them in the freezer for four hours or till they are set. Garnish with strawberry.
