Ingredients :

Potatoes - 2 Boiled and mashed
Onion - 1 chopped finely
Ginger - garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
Red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon
Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Haldi - a pinch
Salt - as per taste
Chaat masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Ghee - for brushing
Method :
Wash the lentils thoroughly and soak them in water for 5 minutes.
Pressure cook the lentils for 2 whistles or till they become soft. Drain out the water in the lentils if any, Boil Potatoes and mash them. Grind ginger and garlic into a paste. In a bowl add cooked lentils , mashed potatoes, onion, red chilly powder, salt, chaat masala powder, haldi and garam masala powder and mix well.
Now brush the kebabs with ghee and keep it in a pre-heated oven for about 10 minutes at 240 degrees C .
Cook till the bottom part turns golden brown. Turn it over and cook for another 10 minutes till they get a nice golden brown colour on them. Brush little more ghee if required.
These kebabs can be deep fried or shallow fried as per your choice. This is a healthier version as the kebabs are grilled in the oven with very little ghee.
Serve these kebabs with the green mint chutney and/or Sweet tamarind chutney and onion salad. Sprinkle some chaat masala powder over the kebabs.
