Ingredients :
Besan - 1 cup
Suji - 2 tablespoon
Baking soda - 1/4 teaspoon
Fruit salt (Eno) - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - 2 teaspoon
Haldi - 1/2 teaspoon
Green chilly paste - 1 teaspoon
Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Lime juice - 2 teaspoon
Water - 1/4 cup
Salt - as per taste
For tempering:
Oil - 1/2 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
Green chillies - 2 to 3 (slit into long pieces)
Jeera - 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Garnish :
Dhaniya - few sprigs
Grated coconut ( optional) - 1 teaspoon
Method :
Sift besan. Mix besan, suji, salt , haldi, sugar, chlly paste,ginger paste and water to form a batter of pouring consistency. Beat well. Now add soda, fruit salt, lime juice and beat well again. Pour it immediately to a greased bowl. Cover it with cling fling and prick it at 1 or 2 places and microwave for 6 mins. Let it rest for another 5 mins.
Now prepare the tempering. Mix the ingredients listed above for tempering and microwave for 4 mins. Pour this over the dhokla and wait for 10-12 mins to turn soft. Sprinkle the items for garnish and cut the dhokla into pieces and serve.
