Ingredients :
Baby Potatoes - 500 grams
Corn flour - 5 tablespoons
Salt - to taste
Oil - for deep frying
For the sauce :
Onion - 1 finely chopped
Tomato puree - 5 tablespoons
Honey - 2 tablespoons
Chilly sauce - 1 teaspoon
White vinegar - 1 teaspoon
Soy sauce - 1 teaspoon
Salt - to taste
Roasted white sesame seeds - 1 tablespoon
Spring onion - for garnish
Method :
Wash the baby potatoes thoroughly, add salt and pressure cook them for just one whistle. You can boil the potatoes directly also. Do not overcook them. When the potatoes have cooled down peel them and add cornflour and mix gently. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry these potatoes till golden brown in colour. Keep it aside and prepare the sauce. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped garlic and saute it on a high flame for few seconds. Then add onion and cook them till they are translucent. Add tomato puree, vinegar, chilly sauce, soy sauce, salt honey and saute for a minute. Add the fried potatoes and mix it gently till the sauce coats the potatoes completely. Transfer it onto a serving dish and garnish it with roasted sesame seeds and spring onion.
