Ingredients :
Raw Banana - 3
Gram flour/Besan - 1 cup
Rice flour - 2 table spoon
Red chilly powder - 1 tablespoon
Haldi - a pinch
Asafoetida / hing - a pinch
Baking soda - a pinch
Salt - as per taste
water - little
Onion - 1 big
Tomato - 1 small
Chat masala powder - a pinch
Green chillies - 2
Dhaniya/ cilantro - a few sprigs
Oil - for deep frying
Method :
Heat oil in a kadhai on slow flme. In the meanwhile, prepare the onion and tomato mixture.Ina bowl take chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chillies and chopped dhaniya. Add salt, red chilly powder amd little chat masala powder and mix well. keep this aside. Now prepare the batter for the fritter. Take a bowl, add besan, haldi, rice flour, salt, chilly powder, hing, baking soda and little water to get the right consistency of the batter.Idli batter consistency shpould be just fine. Dip the sliced raw banana pieces into the batter and immediately transfer them into the hot oil and fry them till golden brown on a medium heat. Take it out and drain the excess oi on kitchen towel. Now make a slit vertically on the middle of the bhajji and stuff the onion tomato mixture and serve.
