Vegetable cheese Appe

Ingredients :



Dosa dough - 1 cup

Onion - 1 chopped finely

Carrot - 1/2 chopped finely

Capsicum - 1/2 chopped finely (any colour)

Peas - 2 tablespoon (cooked)

Green chillies - 1 or 2 finely chopped

Ginger - 1 small piece finely chopped

Curry leaves - few finely chopped

Salt - as per taste

Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon

Urad dal - 1/2 teaspoon

Chana dal  - 1/2 teaspoon

Hing/ Asafoetida - a pinch

Cheese cubes - 4 to 6 cubes


Method :


In a bowl add the dosa dough with all the above vegetables, salt, green chillies, hing, ginger, curry leaves and mix well. Now for the tempering heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, both the dals and when the mustard seeds pop and the dals turn light brown add them to the dosa dough. Now take the appe pan and heat little oil in it. Pour very little dough first and place a cheese cube in the centre and then cover it by pouring more dough and cook it till it turns golden brown from beneath and turn it over. Cook it on low flame till you get the perfect golden colour.
