Vegetable Pasta in White Sauce

Ingredients :


For white sauce :

Butter - 2 tablespoon

All purpose flour - 1 tablespoon

Milk - 1 cup

Salt - as per taste

Black pepper powder - as per taste

Oregano powder - 1 tablespoon

Cheese - 2 tablespoon

For Pasta :

Pasta - 2 cups 

Onion - 1 (chopped)

Tomato - half (chopped)

Broccoli - 1/2 cup (blanched)

Capsicum (red, green,orange and yellow) - 1/2 of each colour (chopped)

Red apple - 1/2 chopped

Baby corn - 5 to 6 chopped

Salt - to taste

Cheese - 4 tablespoon


Method :

For the white sauce :

Heat butter in a pan on a low flame and add the flour and mix it well without forming lumps. Now add milk and stir it continuously till you get the right consistency that is not too thick or not too watery. Keep it aside. 

For the pasta :

Boil pasta with salt and oil and once it is done transfer them into a bowl of cold water. This prevents them from sticking to each other. Now heat butter in a pan, add onions and saute them till they are translucent; add tomato, bell peppers,broccoli, baby corn and saute till they are cooked. Now add the apple and saute it for a few minutes. Make sure you don't overcook the vegetables and the apple. Now add the white sauce and mix well. Also add grated cheese and mix well. Keep it on low flame till the cheese melts. You can also transfer the pasta into a baking dish and add grated cheese on top and bake it on a preheated oven til the cheese melts and gets a golden brown colour. Serve hot.
