Vermicelli Oats Upma








Ingredients :


Oats- 1/2 cup roasted for 2-3 minutes and then powdered in a mixer

Vermicelli - 1  cup 

Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon

Dry red chilly - 1

Curry leaves - 10-12

Onion - 1 chopped finely

Tomato - 1 chopped finely

Green and red capsicum - 1 each finely chopped

Lemon juice - 2 teaspoon

Oil - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt - as per taste

Water - 1 cup



Method :

In a heavy bottomed pan, heat oil. add mustard seeds. red chilly and curry leaves. Add onions and fry till they turn light golden. Add water and salt and let it come to a boil. Add capsicum, tomato and lemon juice. Now add cooked vermicelli and oats gradually with one hand and with the other hand stirring continously. serve with chutney.
