Bread koftas

Ingredients :

Brown bread - 6 slices

Onion - 1 big chopped finely

Green chillies - 2 chopped finely

Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon

Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder - a pinch

Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Dhaniya (cilantro) - few sprigs chopped finely

Oil - for frying

Water - to dip the bread slices

Salt - to taste


Method :

In a large bowl add all the above ingredients except oil, bread and water. Dip the bread slices in water and immediately take them out and squeeze well. Repeat for the other slices of bread. Mix the bread pieces well with the ingredients in the bowl. Make a dough out of it and give them a shape you like. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the koftas till golden brown. Serve hot with chutney or tomato ketchup.
