Ingredients :
1 cup Pudina (mint) leaves
1 cup Basmati rice
Whole garam masala ( cloves, cardamom, black pepper, cumin seeds) few
1 Bay leaf
1 Onion
1 tablespoon ginger and green chilly paste
1/2 cup boiled green gram dal
1 tablespoon Ghee
Salt to taste
Method :
Boil rice and keep it aside. Heat a pan, add ghee, whole garam masala, bay leaf and mix. Now add the ginger and green chilly paste and fry. Add the finely chopped onion and saute till the onions are golden in colour. Add finely chopped mint leaves and fry. Mix the cooked green gram dal into the pan, add salt, and the rice and mix well. Serve it with a raita of your choice.
