paneer (cottage cheese) pops






















Ingredients :


For marination :

Paneer (cottage cheese)cubes - 250 gms

Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon

Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon

Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon

Garam masala powder - 3/4 teaspoon

Kasuri methi - 1 tablespoon

Salt - to taste

Oil - 1 tablespoon

Other ingredients :

Plain flour (maida) - 2 tablespoon

Bread crumbs - for coating

Oil - for frying


Method :

In a bowl, add paneer and all the ingredients for marination and mix well. Keep it aside for at least half an hour in the fridge. Heat oil in a pan. Make a slurry of maida and dip paneer pieces one by one in the slurry and roll it over the bread crumbs and fry it in the hot oil on a medium flame until golden brown. Drain and serve with green coriander or mint chutney.

* slurry - take 2 tablespoons of plain flour and add water to make a semi liquid mixture. Not too thick and not to watery.
