Mysore Bonda












Ingredients :


 All purpose flour / Maida 1 cup

 Rice flour 1/4 cup

 Asafoetida a pinch

 Crushed black Pepper 1/2 teaspoon

 Finely minced Ginger - 1/2 teaspoon

 Curry leaves, finely chopped

 Coriander leaves finely chopped

 2 Green Chillies, finely minced

 Cumin seeds 1 tablespoon 

 Sour Yogurt  1/2 cup

 Baking Soda 1/4 teaspoon

 Oil for deep frying

 Salt to taste

 Water - 3/4 cup



Method :

In a large bowl, Mix in all the dry ingredients with yogurt and water. Make a thick batter and now add ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves, cumin seeds, green chillies and mix well. Set aside for 15-20 minutes. The batter will be light and fluffy. shape them into medium sized balls. Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry until they are golden brown in colour. Serve hot with chutney or ketchup.
