Coconut Poha















































































































































Ingredients :

1 cup Coconut (grated)


1 cup Poha (flattened rice)

salt to taste


For Tempering :

1 tablespoon Oil

1 teaspoon Mustard seeds

 1/2 teaspoon Urad dal

1/2 teaspoon Chana dal

few curry leaves

3 finely chopped Green chillies

a pinch of asafoetida (hing)



Method:

 Wash the flattened rice well and rinse it completely. Heat oil in a pan, add the tempering ingredients one by one. The mustard seeds goes in first and when they crackle add both the dals and fry till they are brown. Now add the asafoetida, curry leaves and green chillies and continue frying till the curry leaves and green chillies turn crisp. Add grated coconut to it and give it a good stir. Immediately add the flattened rice and salt to it. Stir it well and serve hot.
