Green Gram Rice























Ingredients :

1 cup boiled rice

1/2 cup boiled Green gram

Few Mint leaves

1 Finely chopped onion

2 Green chillies 

1 Tablespoon Ginger paste

1 Bay leaf

1 inch Cinnamon stick

2 Green Cardamom

Few Cashew nuts

1 Tablespoon Oil/Ghee

Salt to taste


Method :

Boil rice and keep it aside to cool. In a kadai, heat oil/ghee, add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cashew nuts and fry them till the cashew nuts are golden brown. Add in the onions and saute them till they are translucent. Grind the chillies and ginger in to a paste and add it to the kadai. Fry them for a second and add the boiled green gram (boiled with salt, turmeric powder and water) and mix well. Add the washed mint leaves and saute for a minute. Stir in the boiled rice and add salt. Serve with boondi raita and papad.
